Promasidor Ghana donates products and funds to fight COVID-19

Promasidor Ghana (PGH) has donated a total of ¢300,000 worth of products and cash to the COVID-19 National Trust Fund and other relevant institutions as part of its efforts to help in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic in the country.

Presenting part of the donation at a short ceremony held at the office of the COVID-19 National Trust Fund, Human Resource Manager for Promasidor Ghana, Mr. Andrews Bodom, lauded government’s efforts in the fight against the pandemic. He further stated that the fight against COVID-19 was a collective one and that is why Promasidor, in addition to ongoing community initiatives, is embarking on this special donation to the Fund and other frontline institutions.

A cash component of ¢70,000 in addition to ¢60,000 worth of products was presented to the fund at the ceremony. Beneficiaries of the rest of the ¢170,000 include selected hospitals, the Greater Accra regional police command, the Ashanti regional police command and the military.

After receiving the cheque donation and the products, Chief Justice (Rtd) Sophia Akuffo, Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of the Covid-19 National Trust Fund, stated that the Promasidor’s gesture is deeply appreciated by the fund and, by extension, the people of Ghana. She further assured the team that the Fund will make the products available to the needy and vulnerable as mandated by law.
